Project Coordinator - Health Alliance Plan - Troy
Responsible for the development, analysis, and trending of sales information. Act as a liaison between information systems, finance, marketing and other operational departments. Coordinate departmental projects, formulate needed enhancements for processes, and work with internal and external customers to maintain the integrity of HAP’s membership, and financial data. Analyze and develop department reports– identify data integrity issues, system and programming problems, and work with management to develop and implement improvement solutions. Additionally, this position is responsible for activities related to project management/administration of cross-functional activities/initiatives to improve processes.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in concert with division leadership, to determine the appropriate focus and direction of major corporate initiative and projects.
- Support process and system implementations as required. Work with various areas to develop metrics to measure impacts of the change. Track and monitor metrics on an ongoing basis. Communicate findings, conclusions and recommendations drawn from the analysis in both written report and verbal presentation to leadership on an ongoing basis.
- During Peak enrollment times take Agent/producer calls and assist them with issues and or service related issues.
- Support / participate in User Acceptance Training (UAT) to ensure new system functionality performs as expected. Provide written findings identifying all UAT test result.
- Navigate newly appointed producers through the HAP website, agent portal and producer tools to enhance their knowledge and familiarity of these resources.
- Development of electronic and automated solutions and auto-reconciliation improvements.
- Responsible for leading and serving on cross-functional teams across the organization focused around system reporting, cost savings, government mandates, strategy development and new product implementation.
- Project management/coordination activities to ensure all process workflows are being handled within the established time parameters by both internal departments and outside vendors.
- Perform administrative follow-up by keeping track of major projects and tasks assigned by Departmental Leadership.
- Responsible for facilitating sales reporting, auditing and eligibility functions requirements.
- Participate and/or facilitate continuous improvement workshops with the staff, inter- departmental staff meetings, and other forums aligned with the improvement of departmental/corporate processes.
- Work in concert with leadership on all operational open enrollment initiatives and planning.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships across operational departments and with both Internal and external customers.
- Assist in monitoring of the numerous internal system interfaces, error report completions, employees quality and quantity measures and work with the appropriate internal contacts or teams that can help resolve them
- Document and create desk level procedures to ensure the correct flow for the processing of Applications as wells as other departmental procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma
- Hold an active Michigan State Insurance License in Accident and Health - Required
- Minimum of two (2) years of telephone experience in a customer relations position required
- Minimum of two (2) years of sales support in a call center environment required
- At least one (1) year experience developing, analyzing, interpreting & trending data
- Minimum of one (1) year of project management/coordination and/or system implementation experience.
- One (1) year of sales experience preferred
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint required
- Experience with HAP systems and software. i.e. Facets, e-HI Extranet, Pega, HAP Connect, Cognos - Required
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that would qualify for a chauffeur's license endorsement.
- Must have access to personal transportation for the purpose of conducting field activity as needed.
