Senior Healthcare Consultant - Health Alliance Plan - Troy
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Consultation, leadership and direction for client engagements and associated reporting deliverables. Responsible for design, development and maintenance of existing and new client reporting products. Provides thought leadership on existing and emerging advanced analytic groupers. Integrates payor initiatives and program solutions into client consulting engagements. Provides thought leadership on Michigan and National healthcare trends, policies and topics.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop reporting deliverables used in client engagements.
Collaboration with Account Management, Care Management and Underwriting.
Develop executive summaries by integrating analysis on healthcare cost and trend drivers with payor initiatives and program solutions.
Present consultative deliverables, including analysis, findings and recommendations.
Responsible for client deliverables both ad-hoc and routine.
Coordinate internal work drivers and processes in the development and execution of client reporting deliverables.
Responsible for the conceptual design, business requirements document and business User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sign-off for new client analytic reports.
Responsible for maintaining professional knowledge on existing and emerging healthcare trends, policies and topics.
Mentors fellow team members on advanced analytic groupers, business intelligence tools and analytic methods.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration or Business Management
Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration or Business Management preferred.
Five (5) years in healthcare data management, healthcare analytics or financial analytics.
Three (3) years direct experience working with Fortune 500 Companies, Healthcare Systems, and/or Public Sectors.
Three (3) years in using advanced analytic groupers: episodes of care, gaps in care, risk scores, and procedure groupers preferred.
Three (3) years in using financial reporting software or business intelligence tools: IBM® (Cognos®), OPTUM® IQTM, OPTUM® Symmetry®, HDMSSM (DARTSM), IBM® Watson Health (AdvantageSuite®), Verscend® (Medical Intelligence / Enterprise Intelligence) preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred.
Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) preferred.
Certified Public Account (CPA) preferred.
Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA) preferred.
Fellow, Academy for Healthcare Management (FAHM) preferred.
Professional, Academy for Health Care Management (PAHM) preferred.
