Captive Agent - HAP Medicare Advantage - Health Alliance Plan - Troy
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Employed External Captive Agents will represent HAP Medicare Products only. They will work leads through face to face meetings as assigned by HAP sales management. They may also be required to work at various partner locations including HFHS, CVS, OptimEyes, seminars, etc. Agents will receive a monthly stipend and paid external broker commission for any new sales. Captive agents will be recognized as agent of record for sold members just like any other external agent. While receiving stipend, captive agents will only be allowed to sell HAP. Work assignments may vary as market dictates.
Commission compensation will be defined as new to Medicare Advantage or new to HAP Medicare Advantage. A change from one HAP Medicare advantage to another plan will not be considered new.
All commissions are based on CMS Interim Final Regs; subject to change if Final Regs or subsequent guidance change.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of a plan to achieve sales goals as established by HAP Medicare Sales Management.
- Achieves weekly, monthly, and annual activity and sales goals.
- Responsible for meeting with the Medicare Management on an established basis regarding sales results, sales activity, scheduled meetings, new prospects, and/or any critical issues. Provides daily activity and productivity results and all required reports on a timely basis and within deadlines. Enters and maintains accurate information about sales activities and results on Medicare lead tracking system. Thoroughly documents all prospective member contacts as well as all other scheduled and/or completed service, marketing, and sales activities.
- Demonstrates the primary goal of customer satisfaction through positive interactions with members, colleagues, participating providers, and employer representatives in a respectful, courteous, confidential, and caring manner and responding to inquiries and resolving problems in a timely and professional manner.
- Pursues and maintains accurate, in-depth, current information on competition, legislation, and other developments in the health insurance, medical delivery, business, and labor industries as it pertains to Medicare. Possesses the ability to communicate to colleagues, members, and prospective members in a clear, concise manner.
- Provides feedback from industry colleagues, members, and prospects that may be useful to improving the successful operation and growth of the Medicare programs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Contracted agents authorize and permit HAP to monitor their performance and marketing practices and will fully cooperate with any audits or investigations regarding market conduct or sales practices.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Must possess and maintain (1) a valid driver’s license and (2) a driving record that meets the HFHS Corporate insurance criteria.
Must have, Michigan Health, Accident and Life Insurance Licensure.
Agent must complete annual certification, licensing and appointment to receive renewal payments
Must be able to use HAP provided technology including CRM.
