The Clinical Research Assistant in this role will be recruiting patients for a mammogram screening project.  He/she will be talking with patients about the project, completing both a 30 minute questionnaire with potential candidates, along with consenting them.  One of the most important pieces of the project is collecting a blood sample from participants, so phlebotomy experience is a must. 

The role is contingent and will last about 12 months.  The position is Day shift, which will work Monday through Saturday.  The amount of hours per week can vary and will be less than 30 hours.  There will be numerous clinical sites that these Clinical Research Assistants will be housed at  including; Sterling Heights, Dearborn Fairlane, West Bloomfield, Detroit, Macomb, Livonia and Wyandotte.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
 High School Diploma or G.E.D. Completion of Medical Assistant course can be utilized in this position.
 A Bachelors degree can be utilized in this position. Two to three years of relevant experience.
Requires a working knowledge of computer applications.
A working knowledge of research methodology, medical terminology preferred.
Phlebotomy experience required.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to other sites if needed.
