GENERAL SUMMARY:

 

The Clinical Quality Facilitator (CQF) II is able to perform complex project work with interdisciplinary groups that include senior administrators, nursing and medical leaders. This work is done with minimal supervision.

 

The CQF II leads or co-leads large system teams, guides implementation plans and acts as a consultant or facilitator on regulatory, disease certification, patient safety and quality issues. The CQF II designs and delivers educational programs to assist employees, physicians and leadership, meet safety and quality goals. The CQFII may assist with the design and supervision of graduate students’ quality and safety projects.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Managing the security model, FAQs, policy groups, etc.

·         Escalates concerns and issues to policy manager for resolution

·         Supports the system Policy Management Office

·         Provides project management support to clinical improvement initiatives; engages management, physician leadership, and staff in the development and implementation process; establishes effective communication with key stake holders/teams; assists in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data; promotes internal and external benchmarking.

·         Analyzes internal and external quality measures, evidenced based practices and national trends.

·         Initiates and develops clinical and safety improvement projects, programs, and education based on the assessed needs of the organization and regulatory requirements.

·         Facilitates the education and integration of appropriate personnel into high performing teams

·         Acts as a change agent through modeling clinical quality and safety knowledge and skills.

·         Provides system education, consultation, and interpretation of TJC, NQF, CMS, and other applicable standards.

·         Provides assessment, education, and support concerning clinical quality and safety issues and survey processes.

·         Provides data on improvement initiatives; acts as a representative with internal/external customers.

·         Assists with design, analysis, implementation and reporting of clinical quality and safety initiatives.

·         Assist with preparation of reports for senior management.

·         Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, the Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.

·         Travel to system hospitals/business units required.

·         Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field is required.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of clinical experience required.
  • Two years project management and/or process improvement experience preferred.
  • Experience in educational curriculum design and delivery is an asset.
