The Department of Neurology at Henry Ford Health System is seeking a board eligible/certified neurologist with additional fellowship training in neurophysiology to join our intraoperative monitoring team.

With five hospitals within our system, including an 877-bed tertiary care hospital as well as four additional community hospitals, the intraoperative monitoring program (IOM) at Henry Ford Health System is a professional team of a neurologist and technologists that work closely with members of the Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery and Anesthesia Departments to provide live functional guidance during surgery. Through this multi-disciplinary approach, our team is committed to improving neurological outcome after surgery. Our busy clinical practice participates in over 700 surgeries per year and has additional demand that we plan to meet through the expansion of our program and IOM-trained neurologists.

This subspecialty position can be full-time IOM but also offers the opportunity to practice other clinical pursuits outside of IOM if interested, including EEG, EMG, epilepsy, and/or neuromuscular medicine. Furthermore, this position also provides an opportunity to pursue educational and other academic endeavors, including a teaching role with medical students, neurology residents, and neurophysiology fellows. Additionally, a tenure-track academic appointment is offered through Wayne State University School of Medicine.

  • Must have completed an ACGME/AOA approved Neurology residency program.
  • Must be board eligible/certified in Neurology.
  • Must have completed or currently completing a Neurophysiology or Intraoperative Monitoring fellowship.
