Position Summary:

The Medical Education Coordinator will support the administrative and academic functions of residency programs and/or medical student programs. The position will work in conjunction with  the Administrative Director of Medical Education and Program Director in all aspects of graduate and undergraduate education.
Minimum Education:
Associates Degree in Business, Education, Medical Administration or related field
 
Minimum Work Experience:
Five (5) years experience in a business office setting providing administrative support or two years of teaching experience in K-12
 
Required Licenses/Certifications:
None
 
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Must have leadership skills and the ability to work with the medical staff, hospital administration and management, medical school Deans, management and staff, hospital employees and various contacts external to the hospital
Must be multi-task oriented in a self-directed capacity
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Must have ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Must have strong working knowledge of computers
Must have knowledge and be able to apply rules and regulations by accrediting bodies including American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the American Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Must have an understanding of resident and student schedules
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Education, Medical Administration or related field
