Sr Medical Technologist (Blood Bank) - Full Time - Detroit/Rotating
- Under minimal supervision, performs routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems.
- Responsible for establishing and ensuring standard work with consistent quality and corrective and preventive action as needed.
- Participates in applied research and development projects to introduce new technology and improved methods.
- Completion of accredited Bachelor's Degree program in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science.
- Three (3) years of experience with progressive responsibility in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform, teach, and lead laboratory functions.
- Certification at the technologist level from a nationally recognized agency, such as ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW is preferred.
