Supervisor - Reporting and Analysis (HAP) Health Alliance Plan (Southfield)

Supervise and mentor data analysts for corporate reporting initiatives. Lead the workflow activities of the assigned team members.

Ensure team member performance by initiating appropriate coaching, recommending staff training and implementing corrective action within area of responsibility

Prepare and monitor project scheduling, and perform ongoing quality review checks to ensure quality reports and analyses.

Lead the development and production of company’s custom and ad hoc reporting needs including PCP Profile Reports, Product Line Analysis, Medical and Pharmacy Utilization, Employer Group, Financial, and Membership Retention.

Participate in the design, development and maintenance of company’s data warehouse, data marts and certified reports.

Monitor data integrity across corporate databases by developing business rules and balancing processes.

Extract data from existing and new data stores and perform ad-hoc analysis

Mine data from various operational and analytic sources to arrive at crucial insights for the organization

Work with very large and complex databases containing millions of rows

Identify and drive the implementation of process, data, and reporting improvements

Provide data analysis and consult on the design and implementation of new data warehouse subject areas and data marts

Determine and collect the departmental data and metrics needed to monitor and evaluate operations

Drive current and future strategy by leveraging analytical skills

Lead a team of talented Data analysts on an exciting professional journey while mentoring them and elevating their careers

Be a part of the full SDLC of projects, ad-hoc data requests

Collaborate across business units

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in Health Care, Business Administration or Computer Science
-
Master’s degree in business / Mathematics / Engineering / Science / Management Information Systems / Computer Science
Experience Required:
-
Three (3) years of experience in Healthcare domain
-
Seven (7) years of professional data analysis experience
-
Seven (7) years of experience with SQL, PL/SQL
-
Five (5) years of working knowledge on SDLC
-
One (1) year of experience in managing or leading teams
-
Experience working with large amounts of Healthcare Payer data in new and evolving environments
-
Experience with ETL tools (Data Stage / Informatica), Reporting tools (Cognos / Tableau) and Unix shell scripting.

Excellent quantitative, analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Demonstrated ability to align people toward a common goal and purpose.

Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues into understandable flow diagrams/ data scenarios.
