The Director, Specialty Care is responsible for planning, organizing and directing specialty care practice operations including surgical and non-surgical specialties , understanding the nuances of various performance measures within the practices to quickly lead the practice managers to make prompt improvements affecting quality, finance, our patients, providers, staff and department. Collaboration with all departments is critical for success.

Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in health administration, business administration, management and organizational development, or equivalent required.
Professional development in health care management

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience in physician relations and practice administration required.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of health care administration, fiscal management and government regulations and reimbursement.
Knowledge of practice policies and procedures to manage operations and to ensure effective and excellent patient care.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of staff development sufficient to manage department.
Knowledge of computer systems, programs and applications.
Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment and discretion.
Skill in analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action.
