HRIS Functional Specialist - Full Time - Allegiance Health - Jackson/Detroit, MI
GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the e-HR Manager the e HR Specialist will:

Partner with HR business lines to assess the HR Technology needs and consult with them on alternatives by providing options with recommendations to meet needs. Collaborate with Client to develop test and implement best alternatives

Define business requirement as they relate to the implementation of technologies that make up HR Technology portfolio/PS suite of applications.

Assist with development of project plans, scheduling, monitoring and communicating the project status. Report any type of potential problems to appropriate management in a timely manner.

Analyze and recommend best practice business process/ data models to integrate HR Technological systems.

Consult with system users to expand or modify Technology capabilities system to improve operational efficiency or workflow.

Perform periodic review of Application bundles, patches, fixes and updates released by PeopleSoft using the Customer Connection and other network venues.

Develop system audit practices/ reports to ensure integrity of HR Data.

Design, develop and maintain functional specifications for application customizations, interfaces, processes and reports. Analyze and test each custom specification.

Troubleshoot any design failure and determine best logical problem solving approach to ensure resolutions for HR Technology applications

Run adhoc reports to support customer’s operational needs. Understand and anticipate customer need to provide data with business insights and variations.

Ensure integrity and security of all HR data through enforcement of procedures.

Adhere to established Service-intake process and follow the service delivery protocols and documentation requirements in delivering service to customers.

Use the service request database to manage all assigned cases with adequate and up to date details on progress and status of completion.

Contribute to the service excellence standards for the department and maintain high levels of service standards by living the values and principles of service excellence.

Serve as a backup resource to other teammates, as identified on a periodic basis.

Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and other learning opportunities.

Develop expertise on understanding technical aspects of HR applications to have increased understanding of system design and integration with other facets of HRMS.

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree course with HR or IT background.

Certified or specialized training in PeopleSoft HR/Information Technology is preferred.

Expertise with PeopleSoft HR Modules, Performance Management, Learning Management and/or Recruiting system is desirable.

2 years of HR related experience is preferred.

3-5 years experience in Human Resource Information Systems

Able to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to work independently and manage/prioritize multiple tasks, with very limited managerial guidance
