KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

 

  • Requires Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, and current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Hospice certification preferred.
  • Must have at least eighteen (18) months of hospice experience.
  • Will consider Nurses with home nursing care and Critical Care background.
  • Current BLS
  • A working knowledge of current pain and symptom management, and experience appropriate to the needs of hospice patients and their families is preferred.
  • Requires interpersonal skills to present a positive image of Hospice to those whom are referred to the program.
  • Requires the ability to be flexible in adapting policies and procedures to meet the needs presented by Hospice patients and families.
  • Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS’ Customer Service Policy and summarized below:

Must practice the customer skills as provided through on-going training and in-services.
